Chamber Mission Statement
The Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce provides members with
networking, education, and promotional opportunities. We are
dedicated to our members' success and encourage participation in
Chamber programs and events. |
Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce
Founded in 1954 the Chamber is a vibrant business organization
designed to meet the business and community needs of the Greenwood
Area. As a voluntary organization of small and large businesses,
professionals, and organizations, our focus is to market the
Greenwood Area, encourage new growth and assist the existing and
expanding business community. The Chamber is involved with many
community organizations. We also represent the area as the only
visitor's bureau and relocation center. Chamber membership is a
sound investment that include many benefits. All members enjoy these
benefits and fees are designed around the type of business and
number of employees. Below you will see some of the great events the
Chamber hosts and awards given.
Chamber Events

Business
After Hours Business After Hours events are the
area's premier networking opportunities, offering guests
the chance to meet people representing products and
services in a relaxed setting. On average 85 to 100
business professionals attend the event. Business After
Hours are held from 5 - 7 p.m. at various locations
throughout the Southside, usually the third Thursday of
the month. |

Trendsetter Luncheons
Held every month at a local Chamber restaurant
Trendsetter's are a great way to network and learn about
key business topics. Each luncheon includes a wonderful
meal and a keynote speaker about a particular business
topic. Cost for the event is $15 and RSVPs are required. |

Business Fairs
Each year the Chamber hosts two different business
fairs. In February the Chamber partners with the
Greenwood Park Mall to host the Southside Business EXPO.
This event allows Chamber members to showcase and sell
their services and products at the premier Southside
location. Also in September the Chamber hosts a business
to business fair (B2B). This event focuses on
business-to-business transactions and also includes a
lunch for attendees and vendors. |

Chamber Annual
Meeting
The Annual Meeting serves as a recap to the Chamber
(fiscal) year. Come hear about the past year's
accomplishments and the goals of the future. The event
also includes the presentation of the Ernest Mishler
community leader award and the Pride and Progress award
for outstanding business of the year. |

Legislative
Breakfasts
In collaboration with the Franklin Chamber these
breakfasts allow local citizens and businesses to have a
chance to be involved in state politics. The seminars
include breakfast and a question and answer session with
local State Representatives and Senators. The breakfasts
are held twice a month alternating between Franklin
Chamber of Commerce and GGCC. |

Taste of the
Southside
Experience the great food and drinks of the Southside
all in one place! This community event has over 45 food
and beverage vendors showcasing the best they have to
offer. The event is held in early November at Valle
Vista Golf and Conference Center. Look for a discount
coupon in the Town Planner Community Calendar. A
portion of the proceeds go to local community
organizations. |

Golf
Outing As the premier golf event on the Southside
this event attracts over 150 golfers and many other
nongolfers. The event is held at one of the illustrious
Chamber member golf courses. The outing features
spirited competition, excellent dining from local
restaurants, and entertainment. |

Miniature Golf
Classic
Join us in supporting women in business as we host the
Chamber’s Mini-Golf Classic. Over 100
participants are expected to attend this fun and
exciting networking event. Throughout the day,
participants will enjoy miniature golf, sumptuous drinks
and hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and much more. |

Ribbon Cuttings/Grand
Openings
Chamber members enjoy complimentary promotion of their
grand openings, open houses and ribbon cuttings by the
Chamber throughout the year. Contact the Chamber for
